An invitation to experience an evidence-based approach to developing embodied self-knowledge in yourself & your clients.
The research is clear, interoceptive sensory processing challenges contribute to many of the mental and body-based client factors that OT assessment and intervention target. Indeed, there is evidence to support that practicing introspection without interoception leads to negative psychological effects. Helping practitioners understand the contributions of interoception and introspection to health in mind and body will assist in the client-centered delivery of OT services and enable client to strive for full health and meaningful participation.
